Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman MP, is encouraging local residents to nominate outstanding women volunteers for the Hidden Treasures Honour Roll, a program that recognises the invaluable contributions of women and girls in rural, regional and remote New South Wales.
The Hidden Treasures Honour Roll, an initiative of the Rural Women’s Network, celebrates women whose volunteer efforts strengthen communities, support local organisations and improve the lives of others.
Mrs Tuckerman said the Goulburn electorate is home to many remarkable women whose dedication often goes unnoticed.
“Across our communities, there are women quietly giving their time, skills and leadership to make a real difference. Whether they are mentoring young people, supporting sporting clubs, serving on community committees or helping those in need, their contributions deserve recognition.”
“The Hidden Treasures Honour Roll shines a spotlight on these unsung heroes and provides an opportunity for our community to thank them for the lasting impact they have on the lives of others.”
Nominations are open to women who volunteer and generously contribute their time, skills and leadership to support others and strengthen communities across regional, rural and remote New South Wales.
Community members are encouraged to submit a nomination by sharing details about a nominee’s volunteer contributions, achievements and impact on their local community.
Mrs Tuckerman encouraged residents throughout the Goulburn electorate to consider nominating a deserving woman.
“Every town has women who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support others and make their communities stronger. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognise their efforts and ensure their contributions are celebrated.”
