The Goulburn electorate will benefit from four new probationary constables who are set to begin duties today with the Hume Police District, following Friday’s attestation ceremony for Class 365 at the Goulburn Police Academy.
The 302-strong class includes 221 men and 81 women, all of whom have completed eight months of intensive training and are now ready to serve communities across New South Wales.
Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman, welcomed the new officers and acknowledged their dedication to community safety.
“Joining NSW Police is a commitment to keeping our communities safe and we thank the new probationary constables for choosing a life of service,” Mrs Tuckerman said.
“The work our police do every day – often under incredibly challenging circumstances -makes a real difference to the lives of people across the Goulburn electorate.”
Shadow Minister for Police Paul Toole shared his welcome to the enthusiastic new recruits who come from diverse backgrounds and professional experience.
“I am proud to welcome the new recruits into the NSW Police Force, who have taken up the incredibly challenging but rewarding responsibility of serving and protecting the people of NSW,” Mr Toole said.
“These probationary constables are helping strengthen the ranks of our modern and world-class Police Force.
The recruits have completed eight months of foundational training and those allocated to commands within the Hume will report to their stations from Monday 5th May 2025 to complete 12 months’ on-the-job training and study.
