MULWAREE HIGH SCHOOL RECOGNISED AMONG NSW’S MOST IMPROVED FOR HSC SUCCESS

Mulwaree High School has been recognised as one of New South Wales’ most improved public high schools for 2024 Higher School Certificate (HSC) results.
The award places Mulwaree High among just 24 public high schools across the state (and one of only 10 in regional or rural areas) to be acknowledged for outstanding academic growth.

The recognition highlights consistent improvement over a seven-year period and a significant increase in the number of students achieving top HSC bands and demonstrated success in implementing effective teaching practices.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman joined staff and representatives at a special afternoon tea to celebrate the achievement.

“I was delighted to acknowledge Mulwaree High School during the last sitting week of Parliament and to attend the afternoon tea in celebration of this success,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

“This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of the entire school community – including teachers, school learning support officers, student support officers, administration staff, P&C representatives, and the departmental staff who support Mulwaree High.”

“I am incredibly proud of the work Mulwaree High has undertaken over many years to become one of the most improved schools in the state for HSC results in 2024.”

“I have personally witnessed the school’s ongoing commitment to unlocking student potential and ensuring each young person has the tools they need to succeed in their own way.”

Mrs Tuckerman also acknowledged the efforts of past students in contributing to the school’s success and praised the quality of the school’s leadership.

“Congratulations to Principal Sally Curry and the entire Mulwaree team for this incredible achievement.”

“Mulwaree High’s inclusion as a high-growth HSC school is a testament to the strength and potential of public education in the Goulburn electorate. I want to reiterate the vital role local schools play in shaping the next generation of leaders, professionals, and community members,” Mrs Tuckerman said.
