GOULBURN REGIONAL ART GALLERY EXPANSION

The Goulburn Regional Art Gallery has a new gallery fit-out.

One of 82 projects sharing in a total of $11.7 million in funding under the second round of Minor Works and Equipment Projects, as part of the $72 million Creative Capitalinitiative launched in 2021.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman said the former Government’s investment in improving arts and cultural venues to be better fit-for-purpose has enhanced access for the community.

“Goulburn Mulwaree Council has used $119,356 in funding for the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery to expand the gallery offering through some clever adaptations of the existing gallery’s footprint.

“This project has transformed the currently unused former workshop space into a flexible contemporary exhibition space suitable for display of artworks for many sizes and mediums,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council Mayor Peter Walker said the funding has helped Council deliver significant improvements to the Gallery.

“The work completed ensures our local audiences and visitors enjoy even more high-quality cultural experiences. I am delighted that the NSW Government has made this possible,” Clr Walker said.
