WOLLONDILLY GARDENS REFRESH

Anglicare Retirement Village of Wollondilly Gardens will benefit in $22,168 in funding from the NSW Government to assist in painting the facility.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman visited Wollondilly Gardens to announce the funds, provided by NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet.

“The Wollondilly Gardens consists of 76 units with over 100 residents aged from late fifties to early nineties who were all delighted to hear the news.

“When this project was initially quoted it was significantly higher than expected and management decided to undertake a staged approach to get the job done.

“I’m so pleased that they approached me for assistance through the Premier to enable Stage 1.

“The Premier’s recognition of the issue has allowed for the project to begin. The grant will provide for painting of 18 villas in the village.

“The 18 villas to be painted were originally built in 1997 – and after delays due to COVID and weather are overdue for a refresh.

“Wollondilly Gardens are an important facility in Goulburn and I’m delighted to be able to assist in this project,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

Tracey Walsh Manager for Anglicare NSW South (Retirement Villages) thanked the NSW Government for the funding.

“This project is so welcomed by our residents – I have no doubt that the improved facilities will be truly appreciated,” Ms Walsh said.
