MAJOR MILESTONE REACHED FOR NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL IN MURRUMBATEMAN

The Murrumbateman community will soon have a new primary school following approval of the State Significant Development (SSD) application.
The project will deliver brand new facilities to meet growing student and community needs.

Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman welcomed the news and said she was delighted with the progress of the new primary school.

“This is an important project for the community and I share Murrumbateman’s excitement as another box is ticked,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

“I’m proud that the NSW Government is investing in regional education,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said she was pleased the project was moving ahead.

“I’m thrilled that we’ve reached another milestone for the project at Murrumbateman which will deliver the high-quality school resources students need to succeed,” Ms Mitchell said.

“Murrumbateman is yet another community benefiting from the NSW Government’s record school infrastructure investment.”

Once completed, the new school will include flexible learning spaces, a library, hall, canteen, special education learning unit, covered outdoor learning area and administration and staff facilities. The new facilities will cater for up to 370 students.
