BINALONG COMMUNITY HALL WALLS TO BE PAINTED

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman today announced $19,800 in grant assistance to for the Binalong Mechanics Institute – the Binalong Community Hall.

Mrs Tuckerman said the money – which will be used to repaint the inside of the hall – was made available through the 2019 Community Building Partnership Program.

“The Community Building Partnership program is designed to develop and enhance facilities that bring people together, the Binalong Hall does this fantastically. The hall is used for everything from wedding receptions to yoga classes.

The Binalong Hall updated their kitchen in 2015, and have many more projects in the pipeline – including roof repairs – all that couldn’t be done without dedication and hard work from the Hall volunteers. There has been a lot of work put in by many supporters and I congratulate all involved in the Binalong Hall,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

Binalong Hall manager, Dianne Hopkirk welcomed the funding from the State Government.

“The community is very pleased to receive the funding assistance to repaint the hall – it’s just one way we are keeping the hall spick and span, ready for all events,” Ms Hopkirk said.

Applications are now open for the 2020 Community Building Partnership Program and close at 5pm, Friday 12 June 2020. Applicants must read the program guidelines to ensure their club or organisation and proposed project are eligible.
