GOULBURN-CANBERRA COACH SERVICE REVISED

A new timetable with additional stops has been developed for the NSW TrainLink Goulburn to Canberra coach service in response to customer feedback for a service to suit daily commuters.

Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman said the Goulburn to Canberra return coach service would now run Monday to Friday, and will include new stops at Canberra Airport, Bruce Calvary Hospital, Canberra University and Belconnen Westfield.

“This is a huge win for Goulburn – the community spoke and we listened,” Mrs Tuckerman said

“I want to thank the community for their support of this service and for providing their feedback, which has helped create this more effective and efficient service.

“I encourage everyone to continue to support the trial and get on board to help make these coaches a permanent fixture in the timetable in addition to the range of train services available in the area.”

The coach will now depart Goulburn at 6.30am and arrive in Canberra Civic at 8am, allowing customers to connect with local bus services.

The service will return from Canberra Civic at 5.30pm, arriving back in Goulburn at 7pm.

A number of “A stops” have been added to the route, meaning the coach will only stop at this location to pick up booked customers.

NSW TrainLink continues to operate another trial coach service providing additional options for commuting to Sydney, which has had more than 8,400 customer journeys since September 2018.

Seats on the Canberra and Sydney services can be booked online at http://www.transportnsw.info/regional, or by calling 13 22 32.
