COMMUNITY SPIRIT – Private Members Statement

I believe politics is first and foremost, about our people and the communities in which they live.

To extend upon this sentiment, I believe in the age-old saying of ‘It Takes a village to raise a child”, that no one individual or family functions in isolation and instead, we must work collaboratively for the betterment of our regions.

Although only the Member for Goulburn for a short time, I am so proud of the level of community spirit throughout my entire electorate; at the high amount of communities assisting communities through volunteers, fundraising and even through local business endeavours.

I mentioned just a few in my last Private Members Statement including Wingecarribee Vocal Muster, Volunteering Wingecarribee, Boorowa Central School and PCYC Goulburn

I am humbled to be the newly elected Member for Goulburn and I look forward to further representing the needs of those who have put their faith in me. Whilst each of our communities are different in so many ways, they all have one common thread; a great community spirit and a big heart.
